Our Building opened in 1985 and is first and foremost a church building. We are an ELIM Pentecostal church and meet each Sunday at 10.30am and 6.30pm.
Throughout the week, the building is opened up and used by a variety of church groups, community organisations and private companies, as well as housing the core administration of The Hope Centre, a charity that facilitates a number of projects across St Helens. We are a centre of community activity, and welcome people to hire our building for a variety of activities, whether that be training courses or birthday parties—it doesn’t matter! If you have a need, we will do what we can to meet it, and hopefully this short guide will go someway to explaining about what we have to offer. Our heart for what we do here is community, and somewhere relationship can flourish.

Our Main Hall is the largest of all our available rooms, catering comfortably for up to 120 people. This spacious room is completely flexible and can be set out in a number of ways to suit your needs.
With built in AV equipment, including projection and full range PA system, this room can easily fulfil the extensive needs of larger events. We can cater for most events, from corporate seminars to fundraisers and even music events.
If you need any more space, the rear partition can be opened up and use can be made of the full hall, seating up to 200 in a Theatre / Lecture style.
If you are looking to hold a larger or full day event, please be sure contact us in advance to be sure we can accommodate your request.
We tend to book the Main Hall on a half day / full day basis, but other arrangements can be made, so it always pays to ask!
Our Rear Hall is the adjoining space to our Main Hall and can be hired separately or as part of the larger hall.
The Rear Hall has the benefit of flexible open space and is best suited to group work, conferences or parties for up to 80 people . The hall be made to suit a wide variety of layouts for your event and we can also supply a projector and AV facilities if needed.
If you need even more space, the centre partition can be opened up to become the full hall and allow a space for up to 200 delegates (dependant on room layout).
** Please be aware that the Rear Hall is also an access route to our IT Suite but every effort will be made to minimise disruption to your booking.
Our Minor Hall is an extension to our main building and is integrated right next door to our Café, with direct food serving access through a convenient wall hatch. This means group lunches are really easy to do, and can take your seminar or class to the next level!
As with our Main Hall, the space is there to use however you need to. Run a course or seminar, have a business lunch, meet together with your community group, throw a birthday party – it really is up to you!
Our aim is to provide a space for people to feel comfortable and have everything they need in-house. If there is anything else you may require, please just ask!
Our purpose built meeting space is ideal for a variety of meetings or seminar type events. With full projection facility, whiteboards and a built in kitchenette, this space is all inclusive and can suit a variety of needs.
This self contained room is light and spacious and is available for full day, half day or hourly bookings.
Depending on how the room is laid out, it can comfortably hold around 30 people but please feel free to discuss your requirements with us.
Our Reception meeting room is the smallest space we offer, perfect for private 1-1 meetings or for small groups up to ## people.
This light and comfortable workspace, with it’s own ethernet access point and desk facility, is perfect for drop in sessions or as a quiet workspace when you need to concentrate.
This room is very much what it says on the tin, a place for meeting! We have found it the perfect place if you need to talk with somebody privately, run a counselling session or hold an interview.
You can book the Meeting Room to use as a base for a full or half day, or for an hour / half an hour slots for a quick meeting with clients.

We have fantastic fibre broadband internet access here for people hiring rooms here at the Centre.
Our on-site car park is free for users of the building, meaning no need to find anywhere locally to park up, and avoiding the risk of getting a parking ticket!
Having a café on site means that we can easily add refreshments to your booking at really reasonable rates!
We love to get know people and encourage the block booking of courses or events wherever possible. When you’re here for more than one booking, it’s easier to become part of what we’re about.—building community!
We don’t publish our prices on purpose, and although we do have a general price list available on request, we work super hard to meet people’s budgets.
We believe money should never be a barrier to using our building, so whatever your budget, we will work hard to accommodate as much as we can. Sometimes it’s not always possible, but we try our best not to let our prices put people off. We value relationship and community very highly, and as long as we can pay our bills, we try our hardest to make it work!
