Weekly Update 06.04.20

Updates from Pastor Craig 06.04.2020

Hello everyone,

I loved being able to chat to so many at online church yesterday in two different locations, with us now live on facebook. It was exciting to see some new people and some not yet Christians joining us. Please pray for salvation as we reach beyond our walls. Can I also encourage you to share the link for online church with friends who know Christ and particularly those who don’t.

Weekly schedule:

To help you stay connected we have lots of online content and will be in touch by text and whatsapp. If you’re on social media please share our posts to help us reach more people with the good news. Please also share your testimonies and greetings with us so we can hear from you too.

Services communion:

Communion will continue to be a vital way for us to remember and partake in the fulness of Christ. It is also a great celebration of our identity and family relationship as the family of God.

With this in mind we will be having communion at all of our online services. Please prepare bread and juice for yourselves to partake in your home.

Hardship:

If you are being impacted financially by the current situation and you would like to have some assistance from our hardship fund please contact one of the pastors or email office@sthelensclc.com

Generosity:

Thank you so much for being such a generous family. We have received over £1500 towards our hardship fund and will be distributing this to those in need. If you normally give into the offering on Sunday could you please consider transferring your giving online. You can also give into our hardship fund online. Here are the bank details:

Name: St Helens CLC  Sort Code: 60-05-16  Account Number: 18536778

Stay connected:

This week we were able to deliver online church CDs to some of our members who are not on the internet. To help us stay connected please let us know if you or someone else in church has no access to the internet.

Our Pastors are also trying to connect with you regularly by phone and text. Please contact us if you need some support or would like to hear a friendly voice.

How can you help?

We have a growing number of online opportunities. To volunteer with Church at this time please contact office@sthelensclc.com

Easter

Excited for Easter? Watch our video to see what is happening.

Embrace the future

Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the day approaching.”

I believe God is accelerating the Church into a new arena, outside of the walls of our building and into the online world accessible 24/7 by multitudes of people. It may be harder to meet together and connect genuinely online but it’s not impossible. Let us make every effort to connect to online church, to gather reach groups by video calling, by joining us for our weekly Wednesday evening prayer zoom. Let us encourage each other and share the love of Jesus further than we ever have before, in these unprecedented times.

Love and blessings

Craig
