Hi All
Lots to share with you this week so let’s get straight into it.
Service plans March, April, and May
Following the governments announcement of the “roadmap to recovery” we have the following plans for in person and online services.
March
Weekly services for those not on the internet or feeling lonely or isolated will continue throughout March, with our online International Sunday streamed live on March 21st.
April
In April we will have weekly services online and an online service on Good Friday. In person services for those not on the internet will continue to be weekly throughout April. We will also have two larger in person services available, booking will be required. The first one on Easter Sunday (April 4th) and the second one on April 18th. These two services will again be limited to 35 people plus team in line with social distance guidance.
May
From May we will move to weekly in person services. Again these will need to be booked and we will follow the latest government guidance on numbers attending, social distancing, and other restrictions.
Our hope is that sometime in the Summer the restrictions will be dropped and we can then gather again all together with singing and celebration of all that God has done during this challenging season.

What wonderful stories this week from the Huntleys updating us on baby Olive, so wonderful to see her well. we also heard from Jackie with an encouraging word and a wonderful poem from Vernon. Thank you all so much for sharing. Please continue to send us your Welcome, Worship, or Witness stories then we can all celebrate your testimonies and hear from you. Find out how below:
Send us your testimonies
We love our church family and we want to hear from you!
As we continue with church online we want our services to have an authentic CLC family feel. Send us your stories of Worship, Welcome, and Witness, then we will share them in our CLC online services.
If you have a testimony in any of the following areas then please send it to us:
Worship
Do you have something to thank God for? What is inspiring you to worship God at the moment? How is God impacting your life currently?
Welcome
How are you and your family doing? Where are you from? What are you praying about at the moment? How can we pray for you? Are you new to the CLC family then take a moment to introduce yourself.
Witness
Which not yet Christian people are in you Reach that we can pray for? Have you shared your faith with anyone recently? Do you have a story of healing, salvation, or answered prayer as you have been sharing your faith?
The technical bit:
-
- Testimonies should be between 1 and 3 minutes long
- Record on your phone in landscape
- Record in a quiet area with good lighting
- Send your videos to us via whatsapp or wetransfer
we are looking forward to hearing from you and seeing you in our online services.
A reminder of what we have Coming up
We have a number of new opportunities being prepared for at CLC:
Spiritual Support Team
Please pray for our Spiritual Support Team as we pilot an online and phone based support service with Nutgrove Primary School.
Online Alpha
Will begin soon with Alpha lite, look out for details on how to join and share with your friends very soon.
Online New Members
We have had a number of new people join us and have been unable to hold a physical new members evening during lockdown. We are considering an online event for people who want to come into membership. Please contact us if you are interested in becoming a member of the CLC family.
Generous God
I have been looking at John 3:16 with fresh eyes this week. This most famous of bible verses is inspiring me afresh. for God so loved that he gave! How much love does it take to give your son, your child, as ransom for the lives of many. How generous, how giving, how self sacrificing? God so loved that He gave! let us never become familiar with this outrageous love. Let us never feel unloved or unworthy. God loves you so much that He gave his only son. Receive His love this week, share His love this week tell someone of God’s love for them, share the story of God’s outrageous generosity and love.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Love and blessings
Craig
