Hello everyone,
What a week! It was such a privilege to join with ministers across St Helens to bring United 2020 to life. A great week of content culminating in our unified online service. A huge thank you to our very own Ste Anders who lead on all of the tech and production, amazing job as always Ste. Let us thank God for the unity in St Helens and wait expectantly for the blessing He commands.
Psalm 133 English Standard Version (ESV)
When Brothers Dwell in Unity
A Song of Ascents. Of David.
133 Behold, how good and pleasant it is
when brothers dwell in unity![a]
2 It is like the precious oil on the head,
running down on the beard,
on the beard of Aaron,
running down on the collar of his robes!
3 It is like the dew of Hermon,
which falls on the mountains of Zion!
For there the Lord has commanded the blessing,
life forevermore.

Lockdown Exit
As we see the government making small steps to bring the country out of lockdown we as Elders are also praying and discussing how we can begin to bring the Church building out of lockdown. I thank God that the people of our church haven’t been stopped from meeting together, loving one another and connecting in all kinds of ways. We will take advice from the government, from Elim and most importantly listen to God as we prepare for the next stages. It looks increasingly likely that small group gatherings will play a huge part in the easing of lockdown measures. So for us Reach groups continue to be key.
Reach groups
I firmly believe that Reach is a key part of our strategy for relationship, discipleship, and mission. This word from God about the power of every member to reach people that the church corporately doesn’t reach is simple yet powerful in sending everyone of us out as missionaries.
We see reach groups as a vital part of church life and also an essential part of the church coming out of lockdown. With that being the case can we encourage you to keep gathering online with your groups & get together in gardens where appropriate up to 6 people maximum currently.
We are also looking to start new groups and want people to lead & facilitate these. Please contact us if you feel you could facilitate a new group. Also connect with us if you want to join a group. As a leadership team we would love to see the whole church in reach groups as we move forward together out of lockdown and further into relationship, discipleship, and mission.
Generosity & Hardship
If you are being impacted financially by the current situation and you would like to have some assistance from our hardship fund please contact one of the pastors or email office@sthelensclc.com
We continue to bless and share with one another financially thanks to the generosity of our CLC family. Again I would like to express my gratitude to you as you love one another and love Jesus through your giving and sharing at this time.
To transfer your giving online or to continue to give into our hardship fund. Here are the bank details:

Reframing the Church
Following Philip’s word on “where are we going?” and Dave and Sue’s word on “new wineskins” I am going to be bringing two short words on Reframing the Church. I believe God has something fresh for us and has been preparing us for decades. It is time for us to define the wineskin and look to the future. Join us at church online for the next three weeks and continue to send us your dreams and prophetic words as we discover together what God has for CLC.
