Weekly Update 03/01/21

Hello Everyone

Happy new year to you all. Declaring a healthy, prosperous and mightily blessed 2021 for each of you.  It was wonderful to gather online and in person for church yesterday and we look forward to continuing both of these expression of church throughout January.

Sunday Gatherings

Following the Prime Ministers announcement of a 3rd national lockdown we are currently reviewing Sunday Gatherings. Under government guidance we are allowed to meet with no household mixing, however we are in the process of considering how many of our teams for worship, welcome, Pastoral staff and streaming teams are still able to serve under the current lockdown restrictions and with shielding now in place. We will email all members and contact all those booked into service within the next 48 hours to inform you of our decision.

Elim Prayer

Invitation from Elim – Join our National Day of Prayer

At the start of the new year, we invite your church to take time to put first things first. Let’s pray together as one movement onThursday 7 January. Let’s call on God. Let’s seek Him in wonder and worship. Let’s stand in the gap in intercession. Let’s bring our thanksgiving to Him.

God invites us to participate together in His plans and purpose through prayer. As we head into 2021, let’s take hold of this invitation and promise, ‘Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ Jeremiah 33:3

As we come together to pray, the focus for this National Day of Prayer willcover these four key themes:

  • Power demonstrated
  • Wisdom received
  • Grace abounds
  • Love expressed

Online prayer events

The day will include two unified times of prayer hosted online on the Elim YouTube and Facebook channels, along with a special leaders prayer time for our ministers held on a private video conference call.

Live for everyone:

Morning prayer and communion @ 7.30am – 8.00am

Live for everyone on YouTube and Facebook

Evening prayer and worship @ 7.30pm – 9.00pm

Live for everyone on YouTube and Facebook

Join with us as we begin 2021 with a National day of prayer across our Elim movement.

Movement

On Sunday Morning I began to share the word I feel God is releasing to us for 2021 and beyond. I believe God is growing a movement at CLC. Out of the global pandemic God is doing a new thing. The walls of the church have been opened up and the church is expanding and looking beyond ourselves to the world. Mission will be shot through our movement.  As will creativity and freedom as we become a movement of believers fully expressing the creativity of God through our own unique giftings, callings, and personalities. I believe God is calling us to 3 words as we align ourselves with the new thing He is doing.  Transparency, Authenticity, and Reality are the words I believe God is calling us to explore. Yesterday I shared around transparency, next week will be authenticity and I will close out January services sharing on reality.

Declaring new things to break out all over your lives as God expresses His love, kindness, goodness and mercy to each of you.

Isaiah 43:19 New International Version
See, I am doing a new thing!

Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
    and streams in the wasteland.

Love & Blessings

Craig
