Weekly Update 07.12.20

Hi all

As we continue through this advent season we are really looking forward to what will be a different Christmas this year. Videos are now coming in for our advent series, our online nativity, and Carol Service; with lots of you getting involved. We had a lot of fun recording our Carol and worship service last week. Hopefully the Joy and sense of worship will be evident when we share the service together. Please feel free to invite family and friends to these services. The nativity and Carol Service in particular will be great events for family and friends.

In Person Gatherings back in January

We can’t wait to welcome you back into church. Our next in person gathered service will be January 3rd and gathered services will then be weekly on a Sunday morning throughout January. Keep your eyes on our website at the connect page https://sthelensclc.com/connect/  as bookings for January services will open this week.

Keep sharing the good news

Thank you all for sharing our posts and helping people see the good news of Jesus. Our advent series continues this week so why not share these 1 minute good news messages with your friends!

If  your on Social media it is easy, follow us on twitter, facebook, and instagram and become an online evangelist. Social media analytics mean our posts are largely seen by those who already like and follow our pages. This is where we can work together to share the good news. Liking our content is a great start, but sharing it transforms the reach of our message. If you share our posts they are seen by your friends and followers. If we all share our posts then the good news is preached to a much wider audience.

Simply hit “share” on our posts and engage with your friends as they comment!

Advent reminds us of our lifestyle of Hope

As we heard from John yesterday our hope is in God and His promises not in the problems or even solutions of this life. During advent we often consider hope and expectation. The great season of looking ahead to the God who came and the God who will come again. However for me this isn’t a season of hope rather it is a reminder of the lifestyle of hope we have available to us from the God of hope! In this advent season of hope may the God of hope fill you with permanent, glistening hope, and empower you to live a prophetic lifestyle of Hope in His promises.

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Love & Blessings

Craig
