Hi All
I would appreciate your prayers for our family this week as we have the funeral service for my Nan on Wednesday. God is gracious and so good to us, we celebrate a life well lived and an eternal future with no more pain, tears or sickness. Mary was ready to be with Jesus, she often reminded us of this by singing a rendition of her favourite line “we will meet Him in the air.” Now she has met him and has all of her glorious, abundant, eternal life to enjoy him.
The Funeral of Mary Metcalfe
The Funeral of Mary Metcalfe takes place on Wednesday 10th May at 10am. COVID restrictions remain so the service will be family only at St Helens Crematorium. There is however an opportunity to join the service online as St Helens Crematorium now live stream their services.
Here is the link you need:
To use this link all you need is an internet connection and a device that can display video. Please note you may be prompted to download an app if you are viewing on a smartphone, laptop, or tablet. This may be best done in advance of the service.
The stream opens at the commencement of the ceremony.
Service plans March, April, and May
Following the governments announcement of the “roadmap to recovery” we have the following plans for in person and online services.
March
Weekly services for those not on the internet or feeling lonely or isolated will continue throughout March, with our online International Sunday streamed live on March 21st.
April
In April we will have weekly services online and an online service on Good Friday. In person services for those not on the internet will continue to be weekly throughout April. We will also have two larger in person services available, booking will be required. The first one on Easter Sunday (April 4th) and the second one on April 18th. These two services will again be limited to 35 people plus team in line with social distance guidance.
May
From May we will move to weekly in person services. Again these will need to be booked and we will follow the latest government guidance on numbers attending, social distancing, and other restrictions.
Our hope is that sometime in the Summer the restrictions will be dropped and we can then gather again all together with singing and celebration of all that God has done during this challenging season.

Online Alpha
Will begin soon with Alpha lite, look out for details on how to join and share with your friends very soon.

Fresh Fire
Luke 3:16
John answered them all, “I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
God is doing new things. Do we perceive them? Will we receive them? I believe God has fresh fire for each of us. Jesus baptises us in the Holy Spirit and with fire. Are you ready to receive something fresh from Him, something comforting, something challenging and consuming, something that could bring fresh vision and guidance? What we believe is the key to unlocking that which we receive. God is doing new things and Jesus Baptises us in fire. It is available! if we will believe the we can receive! Let us pray and invite Jesus to baptise us in fire.
Lord help us give up control and align our hearts to your Holy fire. Give us faith to believe, open our eyes to see and our ears to hear that we may receive the new things you have for us. Lord let us walk in your ways, give us vision and guidance to move beyond what we can see, who we can be and what we can accomplish in our own strength. Baptise us with the untameable, uncontrollable fire of the Holy Spirit that we might live a life burning with the love, compassion, and power of Jesus.
Amen
Have a blessed week of God encounters
Love and blessings
