Weekly Update 13/07/20

Hello everyone,

Great to gather with you online yesterday and experience the presence of God together. God is so evidently moving in His people and bringing an acceleration into His purposes. As we continue to gather online let us make every effort to also connect in person where appropriate, by phone, send cards and gifts. Let us come out of lockdown life with a greater level of love for Jesus and for each other. Let us also look forward to gathering and celebrating together again as we move out of lockdown.

Small group gatherings begin next week

We are really looking forward to meeting with you in Reach groups. We continue to work hard in preparation for starting to gather again. The building and our COVID19 precautions will be ready for July 20th to start Reach group gatherings. Here are the links for our Risk Assessment and our Roadmap to reopening document if you want to read more of the detail.

It is our aim to help everyone connect to a reach group at this time as they will form a key part of our Church growing in relationship, discipleship, and mission. We will also be using Reach groups for initial small group gatherings and cluster gatherings as we move out of lockdown. See the links below for our online process to register to start or join a reach group and to book your Reach group gathering at CLC.

If you have any questions around return to gatherings then please contact us.

If you already have a reach group that isn’t registered online please contact us then we can add you. Reach leaders please use the online booking system to book a small group in Church then one of the Pastors will contact you and arrange to meet with you and to manage the building and COVID measures we have in place.

Send us your videos

We would love to see & hear from you as you begin to gather in your Reach groups. Why not record a short video greeting and a word on what God is saying to your group.

Lockdown Living stones

1 Peter 2: 4&5

As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house [to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

I would like to celebrate and express my gratitude for the way each and every one of you have built the spiritual house of CLC during this unprecedented season. You really have been lockdown living stones offering spiritual sacrifice to build our spiritual house. As we now move into small group gatherings let us continue to sacrifice for each other preferring one another in love. Let us give our time, our energy and our resources to build
