Hello All
Thank you so much for your prayers, cards, and kind words to me an my family. My Nan’s funeral was a real celebration of her life even in the limited time and capacity of a funeral in COVID times.
Church continues to move despite the current restrictions. Services are beginning to fill up so don’t forget to book your places. Our online new members course is also filling up so contact us if you would like to consider membership of CLC.
This Sunday!
We are really looking forward to celebrating the nations who gather as family at CLC this Sunday. It will look a little different as we stream online this time but we are sure it will still be a vibrant celebration of the diverse worshipping community of Jesus Christ at CLC.
Service plans March, April, and May
Following the governments announcement of the “roadmap to recovery” we have the following plans for in person and online services.
March
Weekly services for those not on the internet or feeling lonely or isolated will continue throughout March along with our weekly online services. Our online International Sunday will be streamed live This Sunday.
April
In April we will have weekly services online and an online service on Good Friday. In person services for those not on the internet will continue to be weekly throughout April. We will also have two larger in person services available, booking will be required. The first one on Easter Sunday (April 4th) and the second one on April 18th. These two services will again be limited to 35 people plus team in line with social distance guidance.
May
From May we will move to weekly in person services along with our weekly online services. Again these will need to be booked and we will follow the latest government guidance on numbers attending, social distancing, and other restrictions.
Our hope is that sometime in the Summer the restrictions will be dropped and we can then gather again all together with singing and celebration of all that God has done during this challenging season.

Fresh Fire
Acts 2:1-4
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
As Jesus followers waited and prayed in the upper room they prepared themselves for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The baptism Jesus would give, the baptism of fire John the baptised had prophesied. The waited, they prayed and the prepared. Then like the sound of a violent wind what seemed like tongues of fire rested upon each and they were filled with The Holy Spirit. The word here for rested in the original language is kathizo, it is rich and pregnant with meaning, it means to rest, sit down, to confer a kingdom on one, to have ones fixed abode!
Will we wait on Holy Spirit and allow His fire to rest upon us, to confer the kingdom of God upon us, to make His abode within us? It is time for fresh fire. take some time this week to ask Holy Spirit to rest upon you again and afresh.
Have a blessed week of God encounters
Love and blessings
