Hello everyone,
Great to gather online again yesterday and see so many of you engaging and encouraging each other. Wonderful to hear stories of God’s healing power from Gary with His shoulder and Keith with his back. Our God is so good and gracious to us. Just a few things to share with you this week with more information to follow next week on our Roadmap to Re-opening.
Lockdown Exit
These last few weeks have been busy as our Elders work in conjunction with Elim to complete a COVID19 risk assessment and produce a roadmap to reopening. On Sunday at our online service and in next week’s update we will have a concise video outlining our next steps as we move ahead safely.
Generosity & Hardship
As the financial impact of lockdown effects many people, we continue to receive financial gifts and are able to distribute to those in need. Please contact me or one of our Elders or email office@sthelensclc.com if you require some assistance from our hardship fund.
Thanks to all of you who have given as money continues to come in and bless those in need.
To transfer your regular giving online or to continue to give into our hardship fund. Here are the bank details:

Reach
Reach groups are vital for the relationships we hold dear, in our ability to become and make disciples and in our mission to share the good news of Jesus Christ. We also see Reach groups as a key part of our lockdown exit strategy. With this in mind we want to do our upmost to encourage everyone of our CLC family to join a Reach group. We are looking to hear from those of you who feel you could facilitate a new group and those who want to join groups. We are currently mapping our existing groups and will have more information next week as to how you can join or start a new group.
We are Church!
The Greek word Jesus chose for Church “Ecclesia” speaks of a gathered group of people who influence the world around them. What a great description for the Church of Jesus Christ. A gathered group of Kingdom citizens sent to influene the world! We have seen over this lockdown period that the building isn’t the church and that the church will still act, move, connect and gather powerfully even without our buildings as we are the Church! Let us press in to unity & relationship, to helping each other become more like Jesus and to influencing the world with the love and grace of Jesus Christ. I believe it is stand up time for everyone of us, find your role, discover your influence and bring the kingdom. I want to leave you this week with some key questions from this Sunday’s word and the three Bible verses that I feel are key for us at this time.
Where am I called to release the kingdom? Where is my influence as part of the ecclesia? Where is my little piece of earth that God is calling me to bring heaven?
Isaiah 60:1-3
“Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.
See, darkness covers the earth
and thick darkness is over the peoples,
but the Lord rises upon you
and his glory appears over you.
Nations will come to your light,
and kings to the brightness of your dawn.”
