Hi all
My update comes with sadness this week as we heard of the passing of Diane Emanuel on Monday. Diane is now with Jesus with no more sickness or pain. Diane is loved by all of our CLC family and our love and prayers go out to her Husband Joe, and to Paul and Joanna and all of the Emanuel family. What a godly lady who’s love and generosity will be missed by all at CLC.
Please keep Joe and the family in your prayers at this time.
Christmas Advert & Services
We are now looking ahead to a different Christmas with all of our Christmas programme online. We feel this will give us the best opportunity to gather as one church family and to celebrate the unchanging message of Christmas. Watch our latest Christmas advert below.
Our Christmas services this year will be gathered all together online. We believe this will allows us all to share together and give us the freedom to still have a family Nativity service and Carol service. See below for the details of our online Christmas programme.
In Person Gatherings back in January
Our next in person gathered service will be January 3rd providing there are no further government restrictions. Bookings for the 3rd of January will open in December.
We will also host a small Christmas gathering for those not on the internet.
Good news – Advent Calendar
| This Christmas we want to share good news stories throughout December on our social media platforms. Our idea is 24 days of good news to encourage believers and witness to those who are not yet Christian – 24 days of good news gifts. We will release these in the form of an online advent calendar with a new video to open every day from the 1st to the 24th of December. We will then add the link to our online Christmas Day service.
We need your help How to get involved Simply record your story in no more than 1 minute (as this is the limit on some social media platforms) on your phone (in landscape) and send them to us via WhatsApp 07742 638809 or email office@sthelensclc.com! Send your videos as soon as possible, the final deadline for all videos is no later than November 30th. Looking forward to hearing your stories and blessing our communities with good news. |

A huge thank you to everyone who shared our Christmas advert. At the time of writing we are up to 4000 views! I believe God is moving and giving us an unprecedented opportunity with our online Christmas services, Good news advent calendar, and gospel messages. Can we ask that you continue to share our posts as we look to share message of the Gospel further than ever before this Christmas.
If your on Social media it is easy, follow us on twitter, facebook, and instagram and become an online evangelist. Social media analytics mean our posts are largely seen by those who already like and follow our pages. This is where we can work together to share the good news. Liking our content is a great start, but sharing it transforms the reach of our message. If you share our posts they are seen by your friends and followers. If we all share our posts then the good news is preached to a much wider audience.
Simply hit “share” on our posts and engage with your friends as they comment!
Family
It seems God is reminding us of our position in His family as the Father heart and sonship message again comes to the front and centre of our services. We are loved by the perfect, faithful, ever present, all powerful, gracious, merciful, kind, and generous God. He is our Abba Father who is for us. We are sons and daughters of God and that makes us family. I count it a privilege to call you my family and to walk this life journey with my CLC family. We love you and are praying the blessing of God over each of you and your families.
5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
