Weekly Update 26/10/20

Weekly updates 26/10/20 Pastor Craig

Hi All

Wonderful to gather together online yesterday and so good to see some new people joining us at church online. Can I please ask that you pray for all of the new people connecting to Church online. Pray that they will feel part of the CLC family and will encounter Jesus in fresh ways as they join us.

Prayer & Share

As we have seen new people growing in confidence and starting to join in the chat. We have also seen new visitors message us about in  person services. We are thankful for all God is doing as we have taken church online. Please can I ask you to prayerfully consider sharing our services and online content with your friends and families. There is a hunger in people during this season and an openness to God that we haven’t seen in recent times. Now is the time to reach out with the good news.

Gathered Services

Our services in November still have some spaces left please follow the link below to book your places.

Local Lockdown – Tier 3

As we now settle into the new rules in Liverpool City Region since being placed in Tier 3 we are praying for you and are always here for a phone call or online catch up if you need someone to talk to. Places of worship can thankfully still meet under the new restrictions. We expect church services to continue under our current COVID safe measures. As more information is made available we will update you on any changes required for places of worship.

As we did under local lockdown we are currently advising Reach groups to meet on Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Hangouts for the moment.

Good news – Advent Calendar

This Christmas we want to share good news stories throughout December on our social media platforms. Our idea is 24 days of good news to encourage believers and witness to those who are not yet Christian – 24 days of good news gifts. We will release these in the form of an online advent calendar with a new video to open every day from the 1st to the 24th of December. We will then add the link to our online Christmas Day service.

We need your help

Could you record a video on your phone sharing a short testimony of how the goodness of God has impacted your life. The more simple and concise they are the easier they will be for people to access.

How to get involved

Simply record your story in no more than 1 minute (as this is the limit on some social media platforms) on your phone (in landscape) and send them to us via WhatsApp 07742 638809 or email office@sthelensclc.com! Send your videos as soon as possible, the final deadline for all videos is no later than November 30th.

Looking forward to hearing your stories and blessing our communities with good news.

Prayer & Presence

As we are living in restricted times with our social contact limited. I feel we are in a position to turn these times into an opportunity for good. Let us find new and creative ways of communicating and blessing each other. Let us also connect with God in fresh ways, our prayer lives could blossom in new ways as we spend time with God in this season. As I shared on Sunday, silence and meditation on the word and ways of God, are an invitation to us in this season. I pray that you will continually connect with your God in deep and life transforming ways.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.

Love and Blessings

Craig
